My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

What my friends at ACC say about me:

I would appreciate slow introductions to new people and places to help me feel safe.

Not only do I pull at heart strings, but I also pull on leash! I will need someone to help me with my leash manners.

I need a home without cats or small animals.

I love to be loved, but on my own terms! Let's brush up on some canine body language together!

I'm ready to learn! I need a patient person who has the time to work on training with me.

My #BoroughBreak Buddy Writes: Ash is the sweetest boy just waiting to find his adventure buddy. He loved walking/running through the trees and dirt paths in Central Park. We walked around 10 miles and at the end he seemed as though he could easily do another 10. While he was very energetic and ready for any adventure, he was also super sweet. Anytime I needed to sit down and take a break, he'd sit down right next to me without having to be told, whether I was sitting on a bench or on the grass. He loved having his head pet and being close to me. Whenever we'd pass by people he was completely unreactive, but if they came up to him to say hi he'd look so happy with his tail wagging, loving the attention. He did pull hard towards squirrels and other dogs, but was easily redirected away after he stared at them for a few seconds. He was truly one of the sweetest dogs I've met and anyone who gets to bring him home will be very lucky.
