We rescued Iggy 6 months ago and fell in love with his adorable face, goofy personality, kind-hearted and calm demeanor, and his playfulness. He is well-behaved, well-trained, rarely barks, knows a variety of commands, house trained, and leash trained. He's a 3.5 yo golden retriever/husky mix with the best characteristics of both. He gets along great with and loves to play with kids (ours are 10 & 13) and does well with other dogs off leash - he doesn't love meeting other dogs on-leash as he gets a little protective - but he does well at doggy daycare and the dog park. We love him deeply and are super saddened to need to rehome him.
What Iggy needs in a new home is someone who works from home, is retired, or perhaps can take him to work with him/her. He suffers from separation anxiety and confinement fears. We have worked with a specialized trainer and have made some progress, but the hectic in and out of our family creates a lot of stress for him and is hard for him to handle.
