My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

We have a transport set up to leave SoCal on 11/16/24 to NorCal and OR. We would love to add Oliver to our trip for the right family❤️ Travel costs are in addition to his adoption fee. Travel costs/adoption fee are always due when we arrive in person with your new baby in hand ❤️
Meet Oliver 💙 He is a handsome, sweet, kind-hearted, package of LOVE in the form of a 12 lb dog!
He turns 1 on November 20th 2024 (Yes, right around the corner!) He is neutered, microchipped, current on all vaccines, had an overall physical exam which included the plucking of the hair from his ears, along with a dental exam (both ears, and teeth were in great health,) and has offically been cleared to find a home all his own 🙂
He is leash trained, and LOVES his walks. He is always ready to stroll around the neighborhood or sit in front of a coffee shop and people watch while you enjoy your favorite hot beverage ☕️ He is a total charmer, and especially loves when folks lock eyes with his because that's the green light for possible pet rubs (if mom or dad approves of course!)
He is crate trained, and currently sleeps in his crate at night peacefully and without any fuss whatsoever. He will also nap in there during the day, or happily goes in his crate if you need to step out for dinner, or our id the home for any reason. He is very well behaved, and always does what is asked of him.
He is house trained, and will sit at the back door, patiently waiting for his person to notice that he needs to potty. If you have a dog door, I'm certain he will learn it very quickly so that he can go in and out on his own, but if you don't he won't mind, as he is very patient ☺️
He is PHENOMENAL with other dogs, and cats alike. He LOVES every single animal he has met in the time he has been with us, and even lived with cats prior to coming here to us that he loved very much.
He is great with men, women, and children alike. He loves to play ball and will fetch toys for you 😊 He is NOT high energy whatsoever, but sure does love to play. He definitely mellows out and relaxes after a good play session 🙌
He loves to follow you around and see all that makes your world function. He will lay at your feet, or lounge near by if you are busy with dinner, or work. He is very easy going and has a go with the flow personality.
He is very affectionate, and has a very understanding heart and will let you talk to him as if he understood every word. (Maybe he does it be a he knows he gets extra pets during our talks, but we don't mind one bit because it's easy to love him ❤️)
He is great on road trips around town, and will happily be a part of every adventure you take him on. He is wonderful during his spa days and always welcomes our groomer with kisses, and a wagging tail. He is NOT a barker, and is overall very quiet, and calm ❤️❤️❤️❤️
His prior owners lived a very busy life with 5 kids under 5 😅 and while they LOVED Oliver immensely they just couldn't give him the time he deserved to live a rich and fulfilling life. They didn't want him to feel left out, and they knew that's what was happening and it broke their hearts so they reached out to us to take him in and find him the best home and family we could ☺️
His adoption fee is on our website at the bottom of his adoption listing at https://www.breadoflifek9refuge.org/post/oliver.
It covers his neuter, general anesthesia, iv fluids, antibiotic shot given to aid in the healing of his neuter, his vaccines, his microchip and registration, exam with our vet (including his dental and ear exam), the plucking of the inside of his ears, and as always it helps cover the few months he has been here with us, and the training we have personally done with him 🙂

Their adoption process

1.

Interview

When we have out of area adoptions, we always schedule a phone interview first to ensure the dog inquired about is the perfect fit.

2.

Home Check

We request photos/videos of your home and yard space to ensure it's safe for the dog you are inquiring about.

3.

Sign Adoption Contract

Once all requirements are met, we will schedule a travel plan to bring your pup/dog to you. Adoption contracts are usually signed in person.

4.

Pay Fee

Adoption fees are paid in person, unless other arrangements have been made due to distance/travel plans requiring fees to be paid ahead

5.

Take the Pet Home

Once all above is met, the dog becomes the new adopting families pet and goes home with them.

Additional adoption info

Please check out our website As it explains a lot there at breadoflifek9refuge.org.
