Likes: Chew toys, napping on the couch, following his humans around
Dislikes: The big scary outdoors & loud noises
What would be the ideal home? Quiet & active. Patience while he learns the outdoors is more exciting than scary!
Good with other cats? Unknown, but he’s super submissive so probably fine!
Good with dogs? Yes!
Good with children? Unknown.
Personality: Very timid, but super curious! Very chill & laid-back!
How long will it take to settle into a new environment? Maybe a week.
Any special needs or traits an adopter should know? House training is going amazing, and he sleeps in his crate overnight without a peep! Bourbon will need a lot of patience while he learns to be a dog and build his confidence, but he is so curious and excitable and has so much potential! Puppy obedience & leash training would be really great!
Motivators? Head scratches & beef liver treats!
Any commands? Bourbon is learning his name & how to sit right now! He is very smart and with some training, he will be a super star! He also has some recall indoors, but needs to become more comfortable with the outdoors before practicing outside.
House trained? Mostly, he gets better every day (several days with no accidents)! While he is learning a new environment, more frequent pee breaks would be helpful.
Crate trained? Yes, sleeps in his crate overnight, can be left alone in the crate for a few hours at a time, and sometimes goes in there just to rest when everyone is home!
