My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet our sweet little wallflower, Creamsicle! This precious kitten may start off a bit shy, but with a patient, gentle approach, their true personality shines through. They're a soft-hearted soul who loves observing the world from cozy hiding spots until they feel comfortable.

Creamsicle would thrive best in a calm, loving home with people who understand that some kittens need a little extra time to feel safe. Once comfortable, they show their playful side, with a love for toys that let them chase and pounce from a safe spot. Gentle affection and treats go a long way with Creamsicle-just give them time, and they'll be your devoted, loyal friend.

If you're looking for a kitten who will blossom with love and patience, Creamsicle may be the perfect match. Could you be their forever person?

Our mission, vision and charter is at the heart of all we do to rescue, protect and care for animals. It is also the driving force behind our animal welfare and education programs.

Our Charter:

The BC SPCA Charter is the foundation that guides the work we do:

Whereas:

The world is inhabited by many species sharing a common ecosystem of air, earth, and water. We recognize and value our interconnectedness with all animals.

Therefore:

The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the animals of the world we share.

We pledge our energies to inspire and mobilize society to create a world in which all animals, who depend on humans for their well-being, experience, as a minimum, five essential freedoms:

1. Freedom from hunger and thirst

2. Freedom from pain, injury, and disease

3. Freedom from distress

4. Freedom from discomfort

5. Freedom to express behaviours that promote well-being.
