My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Adventure awaits, and her name is Nova! She's a sporty and active young dog who is looking forward to enjoying life by her human BFF's side. She didn't get to travel much in her last home, so she's been working on her bucket list: hiking, camping, swimming, frisbee, and jogging are just a few of the things she would love to try out! Nova has lived with dogs in the past, but it's not really her thing and she prefers to be a solo pup in the future. She will thrive in an adult home with folks who share her seize-the-day attitude and spice for life!

Nova is currently at the Adoption Center, so you can meet her as a walk-in at 14 Forever Friend Lane from Tuesday-Saturday, 10:00-4:00! For more information before you visit, leave a voicemail at 828-761-2001 ext. 300 or email adoptions@ashevillehumane.org.

More about this shelter

Asheville Humane Society is about hope, not heartache. As Buncombe County’s critical safety net since 1984, we are always here to save and protect every animal. We have mastered the art of saving lives within our walls and now we are going even further, helping our community’s pets and their people thrive together. We are going beyond a no-kill community to ensure that each animal has the quality of life they deserve – a life worth living.
