My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Judge! This fine gentleman is an owner surrender due to having a difficult time coping with 2 new additions to his family. While Judge is not comfortable around younger children, teenagers and dog-savvy kids should be just fine! Ideally, though, Judge would fit best in a slow-paced home with older adults who can give him lots of attention. He has shared his home with other dogs before, but he'd do just as well as an only child.

He is reported to be a wire-haired terrier/shih-tzu/beagle mix. He could really benefit from some one-on-one TLC as well as a focused effort on losing a few lbs in order to preserve his health as he isn't a spring chicken anymore! (Around 5 lbs). He knows a couple of commands, and so far, he's lower energy and content to sit underneath a desk next to a manager. He's a little stressed (who wouldn't be) but he's not frantic or panicking.

Judge sits nicely for nail trims, and although shy at first, all he needs is a few minutes to build rapport before he has attached himself to you. Judge does have the typical little dog trait of being a watchful guardian and protector of the doorway - which for an older person living alone could be super helpful!
