Willow was born at the shelter in January 2020 to a shepherd/lab type mixed breed mother (we don't know anything about the father). She was adopted as a puppy and lived with her family for over 4 years. Unfortunately, Willow's family had no choice but to return her to the shelter in October 2024 because they were dealing with some very tough times. This was very difficult for all involved, especially Willow. She has been fully vetted and her fee is $125.
Willow is looking for a quiet home to settle into. She's very shy when she meets new people and does take a little time to come out of her shell. Once she does, she's incredibly loving and very loyal to her people. Willow has lived with other dogs and cats. She has done well with kids, too. She really needs someone to give her the reassurance and love that she deserves.
NOTE: Adoptions are done via private appointment once an application has been completed and approved. Applications must be submitted at our website, mchs.rescuegroups.org. Keep an eye on your emails if you apply.
We are located at 101 22nd St. SE in Austin, right next to the airport. It's exit 180B off of I-90, right off of 218 South.
We do require that potential adopters be at least 21 years old and that any resident dogs be up to date on vaccinations, heartworm testing/preventatives, and spayed or neutered.
