Syla is a gentle, polite Doberman who was born in April 2023. She is a young, sensitive dog looking for a family who will help her feel safe and build her confidence. Syla is very smart and good-natured, so we know she’ll catch on quickly while learning life skills such as loose-leash walking and obedience cues. She does not do well with other dogs at this time. She can be pushy so patient canine companions in the future with good communication skills would be best for her. Syla is a shy dog who needs a bit of time to adjust to new places and people, but once she does you have a friend for life. We have seen her blossom since her arrival so we know she has it in her. Cats: staff do not recommend with cats or other dogs. She is better as the only dog in the house hold. Syla is better with Women than with men but getting better. You can stop by the shelter Monday through Sunday from 11:00 am – 5:00 pm.

The UCHS staff can let you know if the animal is currently at the shelter or at one of our remote locations, such as a foster home, local pet supply store or our Thrift Shop.
