Other important info about me: I'm a shy girl and still getting used to people, but with some patience and treats, we will be friends in no time! I'm learning that the people here at the shelter are very nice and take care of me. I appear to be friendly with everyone, though I'm not sure about young kids yet; you can definitely bring the whole family to the shelter to meet me and see if we are a good match before taking me home! Most of my time at the shelter is spent either hanging out in my bed or exploring outside in the play yard; I am quite curious and like to sniff around for anything interesting. I appear to do well with other dogs, but I haven't been tested with cats at this time.

Their adoption process

Visit the Facility and Find a Pet

We are open Tues-Fri 8 am-4 pm and Sat 10 am-2 pm. If no one is at the shelter during open hours, please call 281-576-2417 for assistance.

2.
Meet the Pet

We require all adopters to spend time with the pet they are interested in to make sure he/she is a good match!

3.
Sign Adoption Contract

All adopters must sign an adoption contract, which may require rabies vaccine and/or spay/neuter for your new pet, if not already completed.

4.
Pay Fee

Adoption fees vary from $10-$50, depending on the pet. We accept cash (exact change required), check, or card.

5.
Take the Pet Home

And that's it! You are now the proud owner of a new furry family member and will take your pet home right away.

Additional adoption info

-We do not require an application to adopt! However, adopters are required to meet with pets at the shelter to ensure they are a good fit. Our staff will always strive to make the best possible matches between pets and adopters!
-Seniors for Seniors: Adopters age 65+ can adopt any pet age 7+ for free!
-All adoptions are on a first come, first served basis. We do not hold pets for adoption or pickup at a later time.
-We do not transport or ship pets. All adoptions must take place in person at the shelter.
