Hi everyone! My name is Rusty, and I’m here to share my story. I started my journey as a little baby bunny, left to brave the world outside all on my own. Thankfully, some kind folks from RRMN came to my rescue and brought me to a vet. They told me I had the worst case of fleas they’d ever seen! After a couple of nights there, I was lucky enough to meet my wonderful foster mom, who I lovingly call the "treat lady."
Despite my rocky beginning, I’m the happiest and sweetest bunny you’ll ever meet! I can be a little shy at first, but just whip out a treat (or two) and I’ll warm up in no time. My absolute favorites are Oxbow and Science Selective Natural Meadow Loops in any and all flavors. My foster mom even gets creative, hiding broken treats in flip boards and wobble teasers to make them last longer. And don’t get me started on veggies! I love romaine, green and red lettuce, cilantro, parsley, and radicchio - my appetite is quite healthy!
I don’t have any special health needs, which is a relief, but let me tell you, the medicine I got after my neuter was absolutely delicious! I even managed to steal the syringe one time and slurped up every last drop.
I adore head pets and attention, and I make sure to greet my foster mom every time she walks into the room. While I’m not a big fan of being picked up, I’ll tolerate it occasionally - gotta keep things interesting, right?

Litter habits? I do great in my x-pen! Sometimes when I’m exploring, I might get a little too excited and leave a "coco puff" or two, but who doesn’t have an oops moment? My foster mom thinks I may do well with a bond mate because of my social and friendly nature though I tend to have a domineering personality. I haven’t been around children or other pets, but as long as they are respectful, and with proper introduction and supervision, I think I would do fine.
Destructive? Not me, I am very respectful of my belongings. I don’t destroy my toys, blankets, or carpet. My foster mom is amazed; She has never experienced that before and has had three bunnies of her own.
My foster mom says I’m the perfect bun, and while she’ll miss me dearly, I’m ready to find my furever home. I hope that’s you!

RRMN bunnies are all vetted, spayed/neutered, and microchipped. All bunnies are fostered in private homes where they are socialized and ready to become indoor companion house pets. RRMN is a non-profit rescue group operated 100% by volunteers, and 100% of donations/adoption fees go to the direct care of our animals. Due to their very special behavioral needs, we do not advocate for our rescue rabbits to serve as Emotional Support Animals (ESAs). We are unable to provide any documentation or certification for an ESA.
If you have any questions or are interested in meeting or adopting this bunny, the first step is to complete an adoption application found on our website: http://www.rabbitrescueofmn.com. For the safety of our rescue bunnies, our protocol requires a home-visit before placement. Therefore, we are unable to facilitate adoptions that exceed an hour and a half of travel time from the Twin Cities area.
