Meet Greta Garbo, our sweet 2 ½-year-old, 86.3-pound Great Pyrenees mix and the very definition of a gentle giant! Since she arrived, Greta has been calm, happy, and wonderfully easygoing. She’s a true people-lover who enjoys outdoor time and will happily give you a gentle “hug” while you pet her. Greta doesn’t seem fazed by much and takes life in stride. She came in with a limp that looks to be coming from her front elbow. We are not entirely sure if this is a previous break or if she was born this way. However, it doesn’t slow her down a bit, and she has not shown any signs of pain. She manages just fine now, but her joint may need a little extra care as she ages. If you’re looking for a loving, laid-back companion, Greta is ready to be your new best friend!

We are the all admittance shelter in Johnson County, we are not a 501c3, but a county run facility. We try our best to place each and every animal. We also house all animals picked up by Animal Control therefore; we intake a high volume of animals each year.
