My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

How this pet arrived:
This pet was brought in by a community member on 10/20/2024.

Why this pet is the one for you:
Boo is a gentle, shy girl While she can be a bit cautious in new situations, she is incredibly sweet and enjoys the simple pleasures of affection and quiet companionship. Boo is currently being treated for seizures, so she will need follow-up care with your Vet after adoption
When she's in a more comfortable, Boo reveals her sweet nature. She enjoys soft pets and attention. Boo is known for lightly placing her paw on people as a way of asking for attention, and she will often lean in for more affection once she starts to feel safe.
In the yard, Boo is playful but not overly excitable. She enjoys lying on her back for belly rubs and is very responsive to affection. When petting stops, Boo will look back at you as if asking for more, and she's quick to return for more pets or attention once she's received a little love. Boo's body language is always soft, and while her tail is often held low, she remains friendly and open to interaction. Stop by our Escondido Campus and ask about sweet Boo today!.

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
