My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Bandit is an adorable dachshund mix who is looking for a new home. Bandit is now in a NJ foster home and doing great.

Bandit came from a home with two other dachshund mixes - all 3 were surrendered together when their owner no longer wanted them or could no longer care for them. Bandit loves having a fenced in yard to run around in and sniff after the critters.  We are working on leash training. He is good with other dogs he knows - he just needs a slow intro to new dogs especially bigger dogs.

Bandit is fixed, microchipped and up to date on rabies, DHPP and Bordetella vaccines. He is heartworm positive and is scheduled for treatment at Barnegat Animal Clinic. He will be ready for adoption in late December. His adoption fee is $450.

For our rescue animals an adoption donation is required. All our rescue animals are up to date on shots, heartworm tested or on preventative, dewormed frontlined and have a microchip.

More about this rescue

Wag On Inn Rescue, A NJ recognized 501(C)3 organization, located in Freehold, NJ, is a small group of dedicated volunteers, trying to rehome dogs and cats. We have a variety of animals looking for their forever home. The animals are worked with individually to be socialized with other animals and with people. Some of the dogs are obedience trained and housebroken. Special care is also taken in working with animals on basic house manners. We have two types of ways we help the animals. One is our rescue program, where we pull animals from shelters and they stay with us until adopted, we also have a "referal program" where we help owners of pets try to find them new homes. with this program, the pets stay with their owners until a new home is found, and adopted from the owner.
