My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Scooby is a happy, loving 5-month-old puppy who’s ready to find his forever family! With a playful, energetic personality and a heart full of love, he is the perfect companion for an active household. His previous owners described him as a sweet, well-adjusted boy who gets along great with kids, other dogs, and even cats!

Scooby’s genetic makeup makes him an incredibly unique pup, with a blend of breeds known for being loyal, intelligent, and friendly. His Black Lab and German Shepherd side gives him a love for adventure, while his Collie and Boxer genes contribute to his friendly, social nature. Plus, with a bit of Husky and Pitbull in him, Scooby has a lot of energy and loves to play, run, and explore. This playful guy is great with other pets and kids, making him an ideal family dog. If you`re looking for a fun, loving companion who’ll grow up to be a loyal and affectionate family member, Scooby could be the perfect match for you!

Scooby`s base adoption price is $175, with an additional refundable $50 deposit that gets you a voucher for a free spay/neuter from one of our three area veterinary clinic partners: Alpena Veterinary Clinic, Switzer Veterinary Clinic, or Sunrise Veterinary Clinic. Once proof is provided that the altering surgery has occurred, HHS will issue a $50 refund check.

All animals adopted from the Huron Humane Society receive a free vet visit from your choice of one of our three Alpena Veterinary clinic partners, as well as the peace of mind of knowing your new furry family member is up-to-date on vaccinations and preventative treatments.
