My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Meet Poppy! This feisty teddy bear is an absolute joy to be with. She melts into a fluffy puddle when snuggled, and is the funniest little tug of war champion. Poppy is the perfect balance of independent and clingy. She wears her heart on her sleeve and gives the biggest love, but also enjoys exploring the outside all on her own. Dot has bonded with her (LAWS Alumni!) surrogate mama, Ruth, and would be happiest with another dog to wrestle with.

Poppy is making great progress with potty training and sleeps soundly in her kennel at night. Poppy uses her litter box like a champ! She can be seen sprinting through the house in order to get to it in time. She knows her potty, nap and eating routines. She picks up training very quickly and knows her name, she even does great off leash! If you're looking for the perfect adventure buddy, Poppy is your girl!

At just 4 weeks old, Poppy and her two sisters arrived at LAWS as orphans from the Wind River Reservation. While their breed mix is a delightful mystery, one thing is certain: Poppy's big personality and even bigger heart make her the perfect puppy.

Important Notice:   This puppy is available through our Foster to Forever Program! If you're interested in welcoming this adorable pup into your family, please review our "Foster to Forever" Puppy Adoption Program. Please note that applicants must reside in Albany County to be considered for this program. For more details, visit:  Foster to Forever Program   .

Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.

At Laramie Animal Welfare Society, the first step to adoption is completing an adoption application on our website www.laramieanimals.org. Once submitted, your application will be reviewed by our adoption team which typically takes 7+ days.  Keep in mind, the animal you’re interested in when applying may be adopted and no longer available by the time your application is approved. We do not place animals on hold.   Pending approval, your application is valid for 6 months. Also pending approval, you will receive contact information, so that you may inquire about the personalities of specific animals. Adoptions for individual animals will occur by private adoption appointment. Because we are 100% foster-based, appointments are scheduled pending staff, foster home, and vetting schedules.  Should you want to proceed with the adoption, a brief appointment will occur at our adoption center to sign adoption paperwork, receive medical records, and pay the adoption fee.

**Dog/Puppy applications -  Because of the large volume of dog/puppy applications we are receiving these applications may take longer to process, please be patient. We do not do first come first serve but we place the dog/puppy in the best suited home. If you have questions about the Dog/Puppy process please email lawsdogprogram@gmail.com**
