Happy-go-lucky Lucy is guaranteed to put a smile on your face! This adorable girl has one of the sunniest personalities we've ever met. She's a total people-person and she's always ready to make a new friend or two or a dozen! Per her previous family, Lucy is good with kids and gets along well with other dogs. She has been doing well with house training here, and she knows some commands too - so offer her a treat and let her show off a little! Lucy is also a pretty energetic girl (age ain't nothin' but a number), so her ideal home is one with lots of love, good long walks, and all kinds of treats for all kinds of tricks (or just because). More about this shelter

The Woodford Humane Society is a 501(c)(3) non-profit animal organization located in Versailles, Kentucky. We provide shelter and care to the homeless and unwanted animals in Woodford County, surrounding counties, as well as animals from other states. We care for pets of all breeds and ages, with no time limit on their stay, and we are proud to maintain an annual placement rate of over 95%.

With no government funding, we are completely dependent on private contributions to continue to provide care to around a thousand animals each year.

Adoption fees include spay or neuter surgery, vaccinations and deworming while at our Adoption Center, feline leukemia and FIV screening for cats, heartworm screening for dogs, a microchip with a lifetime registration, a free veterinary checkup, and a starter bag of food.
