Henry is ready to meet his family and relax and decompress in a loving home. He'll benefit from the ability to go at his own pace as he gets to know new people and gets comfortable in his environment. Once Henry has come out of his shell, he finds comfort in his favorite people and will gently nudge your hand with his nose to let you know he's ready for pets. Henry would love to join his family on leisurely strolls around the neighborhood before napping the afternoon away in a sunny spot. Henry has previously lived with other dogs and may enjoy a canine companion in his new home. He will only be placed in a home with children 10 or older due to his tender personality. How to Adopt from Foothills Animal Shelter:
Visit the Shelter or one of our offsite adoption partner locations to find a pet. Once you’ve decided on an animal, you should check with staff to see the status and history of the animal. At this time, you can fill out an adoption application and visit with the animal.

We recommend you bring all family members to the Shelter to meet with the animal before you consider adopting. If you are interested in adopting a dog, bring any household dogs to the Shelter to determine if it is a good match. Also, if you rent your home, please bring the pet policy in your lease or rental agreement and contact information for your landlord.

Once your application is reviewed, you can pay the adoption fees and take your new pet home. It may take some time for your new pet to adjust to its new environment. If you have questions or concerns after adopting, please contact us at 303-278-7575.

Foothills Animal Shelter, formerly known as Table Mountain Animal Center, is an open-admissions facility (never turning away an animal) and one of the largest animal shelters in the metro Denver area – taking in 9,000 animals each year. We are a true community resource that offers a broad variety of animal welfare programs and services.
