Meet Nik, an adorable and resilient pup who is now ready to find his forever home after a challenging start. Nik arrived at the shelter as a stray, needing a little extra care and attention. He had to undergo double eyelid surgery to ensure his comfort and health, but after some TLC, he’s healing up wonderfully and is now more than ready to bring joy and love to a new family. Nik is already neutered and is eager to start the next chapter of his life with a family who will cherish him. Nik is a social and affectionate puppy who thrives on attention and companionship. He gets along great with other dogs, making him an ideal fit for a household with existing pets. His playful spirit means he’s always up for some fun—whether it’s chasing after toys, running around the yard, or simply snuggling up for some cuddle time. Nik is also very attentive and responsive, and he loves to show off his good behavior, especially when there are treats involved! He’s quick to learn and will surely bring lots of smiles with his eagerness to please. If you’re looking for a loyal, fun-loving companion who will shower you with affection, Nik is the perfect match. If you are interested in adopting an animal: 1) Write down the Animal ID # . 2) Make sure to mention Animal ID # when visiting or calling. 3) Remember all adoptions stop 30 minutes prior to closing time. 3) You will not be allowed to place a hold on the animal. 4) It cannot be shipped to you. 5) Before adopting it, you can spend time with the animal outside or in a "meet and greet" room. Please ask for assistance. 6) We take cash, checks, debit cards, VISA and Mastercard as a method of payment. **IMPORTANT: Huntsville Animal Services cannot guarantee that any animal will still be available for adoption as we do not hold animals for anyone under any circumstances. Animals are adopted on a first come, first serve basis. You may want to call and ask if one is still available prior to visiting the shelter. When you adopt a pet, it will stay at the shelter and be taken to the veterinarian of your choice where it will be spayed or neutered before going to its new home. If it is already spayed or neutered, it can go home with you upon adoption. My adoption cost is very affordable and includes my adoption fee, spay/neuter, vaccinations, deworming, license (if you live within Huntsville city limits), and microchip.
ADOPTION FEES
Cats seven months and older are currently $35 that includes spay or neuter surgery, rabies vaccination, microchip, city license tag if applicable, feline AIDS/LEUKEMIA test, and may also include other basic vaccinations when applicable. Kittens six months and younger are $50.
Dogs seven months and older are currently $35 and includes spay or neuter surgery, rabies vaccination, microchip, city license tag if applicable, canine heart worm test over six months of age, and may also include other basic vaccinations when applicable. Puppie six months and younger are $50. Prices are subject to change.
LICENSE FEES
$35 - Lifetime license not included in the adoption fee
Fees change if the animal comes into the shelter with proof of current rabies vaccination, current city license, and/or proof of spay/neuter. If the animal has been spayed or neutered there is no spay/neuter fee.
Adopting parties must have proof of identification. They must be 19 years of age or older. They must not be intoxicated. The adoption process takes approximately 30 minutes for the paperwork. Please allow ample time to look for the pet of your dreams, visit with it, and do all appropriate paperwork. We do not suggest adoptions for a gift. If you desire to give the gift of a new pet, bring that person with you and allow them to pick out their new family member.
