Hey there! My name is Toothless (but I have a perfect set of pearly whites!) and I'm a sleek handsome black kitty with vibrant golden eyes. I'm a gentle, sweet and social boy. I really appreciate the nice people who stop by to visit me. I enjoy pets, ear scratches and rubbing up against you. I'm a chill kitty who likes to relax in bed and keep an eye on my world. I also enjoy hiding - it's fun (if you don't see me, just talk to me and I'll be right over!). I like Temptations and Churus. I like having company when I eat - makes the chow taste so much better! The Animal Welfare League of Alexandria is an independent, local, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and recognized by Charity Navigator as a Four Star Charity. Operating the Vola Lawson Animal Shelter, an open-admission facility and Alexandria’s only animal shelter, the League provides care for more than 3,500 animals every year, including strays, lost pets, local wildlife, rescue animals, and pets surrendered by their owners. Serving the community since 1946, the League has contracted with the City of Alexandria to provide animal care, control, and sheltering services since 1989. The AWLA is committed to ending animal homelessness, promoting animal welfare, and serving as an educational resource for the community.
