My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Name’s Sassy, and I’m single and ready to mingle! I’m the perfect mix of chaos and cuteness—24/7 sass with a side of adorable. Treats? Non-negotiable. Belly rubs? Absolutely essential. I love squeaky toys (if it squeaks, it’s mine), chew toys, and cozy naps with my favorite blanket.

I’m a social butterfly—dogs, cats, humans, big or small, we’re instant best friends if you’ve got paws, hands, or snacks! I’m basically a celebrity, and let’s be real, everyone loves me... and I expect nothing less.

I’m a puppy parkour pro—anything can be an obstacle course! Sometimes my enthusiasm outpaces my coordination, and I may stumble over my own paws (whoops!), but I’m still having a blast. I’m learning commands fast with a little treat motivation, especially if it involves sitting (though not very long because well . . . squirrel). I love the freedom of my doggy door and I’m doing well with house training (but I may have the occasional “oops”). Crate training? Easy peasy—just say ‘kennel,’ throw in a treat, and I’m in! I’m a social pup, so I’ll need a little time to adjust if I’m flying solo, but trust me, I’m worth it!

I specialize in zoomies, random bursts of speed for no reason—zero to 60 with no warning! Blink, and I’ll be in the next room doing flips or leaps just because I can. Oh, and I’m a pro at turning anything into a chew toy—shoes, phone chargers, sticks, you name it! As your personal gardening assistant, I’ll make sure your strawberries, bell peppers, and anything else within reach gets a “quality check.” I take my snack duties seriously! I’m on the hunt for my forever home where toys, treats, adventure, and belly rubs never end. If you love a playful, tail-wagging ball of energy with just a hint of mischief, we’ll get along great!

As a medium to large Plott Hound mix, I’ll need plenty of space to zoom. I’ll need daily exercise, some brain games, and a little training to keep me on my best (and cutest) behavior. And if you’re up for it, my foster mom would love to get occasional updates—she’s going to miss me more than she wants to admit! You, me, a squeaky toy, and a zoomie or two until I’m out of breath and ready for a cuddle. If you`re cool with me claiming your lap and the couch, we’re going to get along purrfectly (even if I’m not technically a cat). I’m living my best life, and keeping up this level of luxury? It’s a full-time job. But hey, I’m not spoiled I just have very high expectations!

Additional adoption info

Adoption Process
We have an open adoption policy, so there is no application or interview process. We simply ask that you meet the pet in person before adoption. We have adoption specialists that will help you find the right pet for your family.

Adoption Center
The Adoption Center is located at 7500 N. Western Ave, Oklahoma City, OK 73116. Our Adoption Center is a totally new concept in Oklahoma City where dogs have comfortable, expanded kennels and cats stay in “living rooms” with furniture and toys.

Pets by Appointment
Some amazing dogs get stressed out in a kennel environment like our Adoption Center, and much prefer staying at their foster home until they find their new family. If you see a dog on our website that says “E-Mail to Meet Me” that means that this furry friend is just a click away from getting a ride to the Adoption Center to meet you in person.

Adoption Fees
Adult dogs are $150 to adopt, puppies are $200 to adopt, adult cats are $75 to adopt and kittens are $95 to adopt. All of our pets are microchipped, spayed or neutered, treated with all age-appropriate vaccinations and flea, tick, and heartworm preventative prior to being cleared for adoption, so we put a lot of effort and monetary investment into each of our animals including a two-week quarantine period in a foster home. These adoption fees help cover the costs of our animals’ health and well-being!
