My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Benny - Male DOB 10/23/2022 Domestic Short Hair - Black & White

Gentle Benny is estimated as a two-year-old guy who is learning to embrace the comforts of indoor life. Benny came to us as a local surrender after being rescued from life as a stray; he was lovingly cared for by a kind neighbor who fed him for five months but worried about his safety as winter approached. Now, Benny’s days of braving the elements are behind him, and he seems content to have a warm place to sleep and a full belly.

Benny has always been well-behaved, even as he fended for himself on the streets. He loves chin rubs and gentle pets, but he’s still a bit wary of being picked up and feels scared. This cautious boy would be happiest in a calm, predictable home environment with the space and time to feel fully secure. He would thrive in a home with another gentle, calm kitty, but no dogs or children.  He would do best in a home where he can gaze out windows, observing the outdoors from the warmth and safety of his new surroundings.

With patience and a gentle approach, Benny will make a loyal companion and could blossom into a deeply loving friend for someone who understands his journey and gives him the time he needs to settle in.
