Meet Phoenix!

Phoenix came to rescue from an abuse/neglect situation. We’ve literally nursed her back to health from just a pile of skin and bones who loved to give kisses and has a wild will to live! Phoenix is now a better weight (will still need to continue to gain), cleared medically, and ready to join her forever home! She came in at 35 lbs and should be closer to 50-60.

-house and crate trained

-loves treats, and has been learning some manners like ‘sit’ to earn them

-very easily gets along with other dogs, ignores cats, and would be just fine with calmer children as she is a pretty gentle girl

-is so loving despite her rough past – calls herself a lap dog who snuggles and still give endless kisses!

-will easily entertain herself with stuffy toys or chew bones, loves to play fetch!

You are required to sign a legally binding contact on your new pet. As part of that contract, should you no longer be able to keep the animal for any reason, the animal MUST be surrendered back to SAAP. This is to ensure the animal is placed back in foster care while we secure a new approved home for the animal. However, we always try to ensure that the initial placement is best for the pet and your family. We reserve the right to refuse any adoption.

We are an all-volunteer 501(c)3 non profit organization. We are dedicated to the rescue of animals that are in need of a forever home. Our animals are fostered in homes where we provide love, food, medical care and socialization until adoption into a new loving home. We educate on the importance of spaying and neutering of all pets.

We ensure all animals have been spayed or neutered prior to adoption. They are micro-chipped, up to date on shots and on heartworm and anti-flea medications (as age appropriate). They are ready and waiting to start their new life with their fur-ever family. Could that be you?

We need your help to continue our mission. We rely solely on donations and fundraisers. All donations are tax-deductible and 100% of your donation will go towards the rescue, care, and medical needs of the animals.
