My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Russell

Russell is a handsome 8 month old Irish Setter. He is the total package with beauty, brains and personality.

Within hours of arriving at his foster home, Russell learned to use the doggie door. He walks pretty well on a leash. He sleeps quietly in a crate in his foster parent's bedroom and willingly enters the open crate during the day when foster parents are in the bedroom.

Russell enjoys the company of his doggie foster siblings of all sizes. But even more, he loves being next to his person laying under the table by your feet or standing next to you for pets and scratches.

After initially rearranging items on foster mom's nightstand and countertops, Russell has been very good inside. Of course, he's still an inquisitive puppy who likes to check things out!

If you are looking for a buddy who will be by your side, apply for Russell now.

More about this rescue

A Lab for Life (ALL) provides a compassionate life-line to abandoned dogs that includes a safe haven, medical care by a licensed veterinarian, nutrition (food) and a fur-ever family through adoption. ALL promotes the humane treatment of animals in the community.

ALL was founded in July 2020 by a group of dog advocates in central Oklahoma and
Northeastern US after some had been volunteering with an out of state rescue for over 5 years. That experience solidified a local organization was needed. ALL formed to rescue as many stray, homeless and owner surrendered dogs as possible by partnering with many state-wide shelters and rescue operations. In addition to transferring homeless dogs from the shelters, fostering them in temporary homes and adopting them out, we also provide behavioral and medical resources to people who are considering surrendering their dog in an effort to keep the dog in their homes and out of the shelter/rescue system.
ALL operates under the 5 freedoms for animal welfare.
We are a brand new organization and welcome donations!
