My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Please contact Caroline (caroline@kittenschool.com) for more information about this pet.

Meet Riven! He's an exceptionally friendly 8-month-old tabby & white boy with an outgoing and playful personality - the life of the party. This kittenish boy loves being petted, admired, and hanging out with people. He is a very active kitty and loves climbing on the cat tree and doing laps around the house. Riven is quite talkative and will let you know exactly what he's thinking - and get ready, because your lap belongs to him and he'll make himself right at home in it! He is litter-box trained and knows how to use the scratching post. Riven is not shy and would be good with other pets. His lovely sister Savannah is also available for adoption, so if you're looking for a perfect pair your search is over! Both of these kitties are SO ready for their forever home and will make very loving and entertaining buddies for their families.

In love already? Great! Now read ALL the info below to proceed:

Riven is already spayed, has had his vaccines & blood tests, and is microchipped. Adoption fee is just $50.

IMPORTANT: Interested in adopting and want to arrange a meet & greet? Do not reply to the button on this listing, I might not receive it! Once we touch base, we can arrange to visit our foster home located 5 miles south of downtown Orlando to spend time with this kitty in the interactive foster play room!

INSTEAD: Reach out directly to me via email: Caroline@KittenSchool.com. Also please let me know a bit about yourself, too, such as if you have children and other pets. I want to make sure we have a good fit for you and the kitty.

Before considering adopting a cat, PLEASE be sure that pets are permitted where you leave by checking with your landlord or leasing office if applicable. If you have kids, ensure they are not allergic to cats before you take one home. Thank you for reading through this listing and I look forward to hearing from you!

Additional adoption info

All of the animals in our care are foster animals from Orange County Animal Services (OCAS), in other words the property of OCAS. Anyone wanting to adopt one of these animals completes an application form and it is submitted to OCAS directly. The adoption fee for OCAS kittens & cats is $40, and they run a BOGO special all year (Adopt 1 kitty get a 2nd for free)!!

The adoption fee for the OCAS kittens & cats includes spay/neuter, initial vaccinations including rabies, testing for feline leukemia, and a Microchip (ID for lost pets). The OCAS foster kittens & cats featured on this website are currently staying with their foster parent. Please contact the foster parent listed in the kitten/cat's description for more information on the kitten/cat that you are interested in. We may also have a limited number of kittens & cats that we are showing on our website as courtesy listing; their adoption fees may vary due to expenses incurred in preparing the kittens/cats for adoption.

Go meet their pets

You may visit the kittens and cats at their foster parent's homes; appointments are flexible and set at a time convenient to the potential adoptor and the foster parent. For more information or to set up an appointment, please email the foster parent listed in the description of the kitten or cat that you are interested in.

More about this rescue

Kindness For Cats Inc is a small nonprofit organization that participates in the Orange County Animal Services (OCAS) foster program providing temporary nurturing homes for at least a few of the countless kittens and cats abandoned there. We attempt to find permanent loving homes for these kittens and cats so that they will not have to return to OCAS when their time in foster care is done.

We also strongly promote spay/neuter to help fight the battle against unwanted felines, and attempt to inform the general public regarding the daunting problem of pet overpopulation.
