Sinead is a quiet and shy lady that we are still learning about. She likely has not had much human interaction so she is watching and learning. She seems to be independent and hasn't engaged much with the foster dogs. That doesn't mean she isn't learning or the dogs are not helping. In fact, mill dogs learn a lot just from watching other dogs. They learn to trust people, to play, to potty outside, and different sounds and surfaces do not need to be feared. As a mill dog, she likely spent all of her time since birth in one small area. She didn't know what it was like to be cuddled, she didn't play with toys, have a soft bed, be brushed, groomed, touch the grass, hear the ice maker or any of the other things we take for granted.
So, as you can understand, this little flower has yet to bloom. We do believe she will benefit from someone who has puppy mill experience or a confident dog in the home.
Sinead's adoption is $500. She is spayed, current on vaccines, and microchipped. Next steps can be found at leiashope.org.
PLEASE NOTE: We are a volunteer ran rescue with full time jobs. Please allow 7-10 days for application processing.
All of our dogs are in foster homes and a meet and greet is done ONLY after an approved application.
We do adopt out of the area. However, we do not ship or provide transportation. You must come to the location of the dog to meet and adopt. NO EXCEPTION. All family members and dogs must be present at the meet.
Dogs are a commitment for THEIR lifetime. For puppies this could be 15 years. If YOU cannot commit to the lifetime of the DOG, please do not apply. Puppies under 9 months must go to a home where there is someone home frequently (works from home or a partner is home), can adequately socialize and train the puppy, and can keep up with puppy energy!

We are a licensed foster based rescue. We rescue mostly seniors and special need dogs as these are normally the first to be euthanized in shelters.
Our Mission:
To rescue, rehabilitate and rehome unwanted dogs and find the best home for each dog in our care. Our belief is all healthy and treatable dogs, regardless of breed or age, have the right to life, happiness, and love.
