Sweet and tart like the citrus fruit she is named after, Yuzu is a gorgeous, curious, confident, sassy and pocket-sized marbled tabby. She loves to climb and is really good at it. She is an active and busy girl who is constantly playing with anything she finds interesting (toys or otherwise). Yuzu enjoys running around and wrestling with her foster cat brothers and enjoys grooming sessions with them. When she is finally tired, she is happy to curl up on your lap for pets and some cuddle time – before chasing after her next play adventure! At night she will curl up close by. She likes to play with your toes under your blankets – because who sleeps ALL night? While she enjoys being near and getting pets, and having her chin scratched she would prefer if you didn't smother her, and will let you know she has had enough by walking away to find other kitten stuff to do. She does live in a foster home with kitten savvy dogs, but she prefers the company of cats and will need another active kitten or young cat to match her energy. Yuzu would do well in a home with older children or adults as she is a tiny cat with strong opinions and might give your fingers the occasional nip.
Kittens under the age of nine months MUST have another age-appropriate cat or dog in their home, or as otherwise noted. PRIORITY WILL BE GIVEN TO SUITABLE APPLICATIONS FOR SIBLINGS.

Meet & greets are either in person with the foster and cat or virtual, at the discretion of the foster.

We are currently in the adoption centre at PetSmart Etobicoke, where we have a limited number of cats and kittens. All of our available cats can be viewed on our website.

Home at Last Rescue (HALR) is a Registered Canadian Charity, that is 100% volunteer driven. Our goal is to rescue cats from substandard living conditions and give them the loving homes they deserve.
We provide medical care, emotional support and a loving environment while preparing them to find their forever homes. With no physical location, all of our cats and kittens reside in loving foster homes across the Greater Toronto Area until they are ready for adoption.
We receive no government funding and rely solely on adoption fees, donations and our fundraising efforts to support our initiatives. We believe there is a home for every cat and a cat for every home.
