Greetings! I am a stunning princess who is extremely loving. I am quite the conversationalist and I have the most distinctive meow - a precious squeak, really - that will melt your heart. I was recently diagnosed with diabetes, but please don't let that deter you from considering me! My condition is relatively easy to manage, so please ask our adoption counselors about the insulin I receive twice a day. As I mentioned earlier, I am very interactive and will engage in conversation with you whenever you enter the room. I love to receive pets and will return your affection with gentle head bunts. I enjoy chasing the laser toy, playing with cat nip toys, and stalking the bird wand toy. What I love the most though, is lounging with you. I am a very chill kitty who cannot wait to be the queen of your castle! Everyone who knows me at the adoption center says that I'm a special girl with a beautiful soul. I hope that when we meet, you feel the same way so we can become soulmates!
No appointments are necessary and you can come see us anytime we are open. Please go to our website (www.azfriends.org) to fill out a consultation form then come and see us! We do require any family interested in meeting our cats to fill out a consultation form - this form helps us determine if the cat and the home are a good match, since it is so easy to fall in love with a photo without knowing the personality of the cat. Once you have filled out the online Adoption Consultation Form, just come in and see us (or come and see us and fill out the consultation form upon arrival)!
Please note that ALL cats are available to the first potential adopter who we feel is a good match. In order to help make the best match, we do want all family members to meet any potential new family member.
Our adoption center hours are: Closed Sunday/Monday; Tuesday 10a - 2p, Wednesday 3p - 7p, Thursday 3p - 7p, Friday 10a - 2p, Saturday 10a - 4p. We are located at 952 W Melody Avenue in Gilbert (zip code 85233).All animals are altered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, licensed (dogs). Cats tested for FELV/FIV. Dogs tested for Heartworm. All animals are available to the first family that is a good match, and if we have more than one animal who is a good match, there will be a lottery for all matches. Note that families must have come in to our adoption center and spoken with an adoption counselor prior to any lottery (when we have lotteries, they usually occur on Saturday mornings).

Meet the Pet
We do require a consultation form that can be filled out at our adoption center or online prior to coming - helps ensure a good match!

Sign Adoption Contract
We require intros with all family members and dogs (if adopting a dog), then if all goes well and it's a good match we'll move forward!

Take the Pet Home
Contract is signed, everyone has met, and the dog or cat goes home!

Dog adoptions are typically $350-$495 (depending on age, breed, etc) and cat adoptions start at $175.00 for adults and $225 for kittens (also depend on age). Senior animals are always lower adoption fees. All animals have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. Cats have also been FeLV/FIV tested. Dogs are also licensed per county law.

Friends for Life Animal Rescue is a registered nonprofit, volunteer-based, no-kill organization. Started in 1993 Friends for Life maintains an adoption center for it's rescued animals, a low-cost spay and neuter program (grant-funded), and a network of foster homes. Friends for Life also attends off-site locations to adopt the homeless cats and dogs and the organization is always looking for help. Friends for Life does not have a veterinarian on site or on staff. We utilize discounted services of veterinarians kind enough to do so for our rescued animals.
