My name is Gilbert!

Gilbert is a 2 year old Large mixed breed (your guess is as good as ours) weighing 68 pounds. Gilbert is an outgoing, high energy, big guy! He loves everybody he meets, very sweet and friendly. He's treat motivated which is good since he needs to work on his manners. He's been through obedience training but you wouldn't know it! Loves to be with his person (around people) suspected separation anxiety. His favorite game is playing fetch. Loves his squeaker toy and playing in water. Special diet required, sensitive stomach and allergic to chicken & beef. Does well on car rides.

Knows commands sit and is treat motivated. Needs work on leash training and all manners, obedience training is highly recommended. No children in the home be under the age of 5 due to his jumping. Shows no interest in toys here at the shelter. Housebroken. Regular professional grooming needed. Good with cats and dogs.

His adoption fee is $150, this includes his neuter, heartworm test, vaccines current, deworming, heartworm/flea prevention and micro chipped. His dog license is also required to be purchased for Sandusky County residents at time of adoption, which is an additional $20.75.

Please visit the shelter to meet him, we show dogs Monday through Friday 1pm-4:30pm and Saturday 1pm-3:30pm. Once you have visited the shelter, you are then eligible to submit an adoption application for review.
