My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Pierce is a beautiful boy who came to us from a municipal shelter in the Kansas area with his brother Carter. They are almost identical. He is a 2 year old cairn terrier, or wire haired terrier and poodle mix of about 13 pounds, maybe 14 now that he is getting fed better!. He has a beautiful wirey curly coat of hair and is entirely cream white. He is getting good on a leash and he is getting friendly, but he came to us inneed of confidence with people. He will need some patience from his new family. He will be neutered wednesday the 20th and available to go home after that surgery, or he can go home on a foster to adopt basis, meaning he will be in a home as a foster until his new owners get his surgery done themselves with the voucher that we provide for $50. This gives us the option of letting him go home before his surgery is completed. He sure would love a new home and would really appreciate the possibility of going with his brother Carter too. He will need some reminders on house training but he has been living in a kennel with twice daily access to a yard to go potty in, and he is doing well. His adoption fee is $300 (or $500 for the pair)and he will have a microchip and all his vaccines too. If interested, please fill out an application for his adoption from our website at pet-tracs.com. We will get back to you by text.

Our adoption fees do vary depending on the animal and all pets go to new owners already spayed and neutered, vaccinated and wormed. All adopters are given a two week adoption trial with an exchange guarantee if the animal does not work out. We require a completed adoption application, which is on line on our website, and a signed care contract. All pets go out with a copy of their signed agreement and a copy of their medical record. Fees for adult cats are $60-75 and kittens are $75. Fees for dogs are $125 to $200 for adult mixed breed up to $300 for purebred, small dog puppies.

More about this rescue

TRACS has been in operation for 7 years and we have taken in and adopted out 3000 animals (as of 11/1/2013). We are mostly volunteers and pride ourselves on the fact that we have a new facility (small and humble but very comfortable) and have had for 2 years. We are a small budget organization and we receive no municipal or county support. We totally depend on donations to keep up our good work. We accept all donations of food, bedding, litter, or anything else that folks like to give us. Of course, monetary contributions are very much needed and are fully tax deductible. TRACS is a 501c3 organization
