My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meow there! My name is Goosetrey. I lived in a barn until I came to the rescue recently. I am still getting used to being inside. I am nervous still, but warm up to you. I like to play with wand toys. I have not been around dogs yet. I don't like to be held, but I am ok with sitting in your lap. I am ok with older children and adults. I have not been around young kids. I am up to date on my vaccinations, tested negative for FELV. I have had my vet exam, been dewormed, microchipped and fixed. Please note: kittens may NOT be adopted as a Barn Cat nor be outdoors unsupervised as they are too young to know how to protect themselves.

We try to answer all calls and emails within 24 hours, but we are not paid staff and still have to work elsewhere to keep our operations going. If we are not able to answer you within 24 hours, please try again or better yet, send an email! We will try to make it up to you!

Go meet their pets

You may see our wonderful kitties at our sanctuary on Saturdays from 12-4, except holidays. Some cats and all kittens will be in foster care, so please fill out an application for a home visit.

Wild Blue Animal Rescue and Sanctuary is a 501(C)(3) rescue organization in the Colorado Springs area. We are committed to the No Kill philosophy and we hope to help El Paso County become a No Kill region. We currently only house cats and kittens.

We are strong believers in and supporters of spay/neuter programs, Trap/Neuter/Return (TNR), and the Human-Animal Connection.
