My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Little Lionheart, affectionately called Petey by his foster fam, is the sweetest and happiest 8 week old puppy!

Petey only has one eye (missing his left one) but that doesn’t slow him down! You can barely tell that he’s missing an eye and it definitely makes him unique and special. The only time we notice it is when we accidentally throw his ball to his left side- it takes him a second to find it.

Petey LOVES people and his tail wags non-stop when he sees anyone. He is so affectionate, cuddly, and playful. Petey loves being held, biting toes (we’re working on that), playing with his ball, and belly scratches.

Petey isn’t fazed by noise and could thrive in any environment. He loves playing with people and other puppies, but he’s also very content playing in his pen with all of his toys.

We can’t wait for this fun, sweet, and unique boy to find his forever home!

Personality & Characteristics:

ALL adoptions require a completed application and final contract. The application can be found at  WaldosRescue.org  and once you are approved to adopt you will be put in touch with the foster to see if it’s a good match. We are a RESCUE not a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks during the application approval process. We are unable to contact every applicant for every dog.  We will select the best applicant for each dog, based on the dogs needs.

Waldos Rescue Pen is a 501c3 whose primary focus is rescuing dogs from the euthanasia list from high kill shelters throughout the United States
