My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Short Bio: Paco is an absolute sweetheart with a huge heart. He loves being around people and thrives in a home where he can spend time with his humans. He becomes your little shadow, following you everywhere you go — whether it’s the bathroom, kitchen, or living room. He has so much love to give and is looking for his forever family to share it with.

Personality & Characteristics:
Paco is a bundle of joy with a loving, affectionate personality. He thrives on being close to his humans and has an amazing way of making everyone feel special. He’s incredibly curious and loves exploring his surroundings, but what he loves most is being part of the family. His loyalty shines through in the way he follows you everywhere once he feels at home. Whether you’re relaxing on the couch or going about your day, he’s always ready to be by your side with a wagging tail and a happy demeanor.

My foster dog is good with:
He gets along wonderfully with other dogs, both big and small, and loves to play with them every chance he gets. He has such a friendly and social personality that he’s always ready for a good romp or chase at the park. While he hasn’t met any cats yet, his kind and gentle demeanor suggests he could be a good fit with proper introductions.

My foster dog is:
Hhas made fantastic progress with his training. In just a few short weeks - he has mastered potty and crate training. He’s eager to learn, and with consistency, he’ll continue to improve on his commands. Bonus: He’s also a low-shedding pup, making him easier to care for!

3 Keywords for your pup:
Loving, affectionate, and energetic.

Energy Level (1= calm, 10= high energy):
He’s definitely on the energetic side and loves being active. Long daily walks are his favorite, and even after a good walk, he’s always up for more adventures if you’re ready. Keeping him active helps channel his energy and makes him a happy, well-behaved pup at home.

Barker? Or Quiet Pup?:
He’s a quiet pup overall. He only barks occasionally — usually at the dog park if the other dogs aren’t playing or when he hears something unfamiliar at home. Otherwise, he’s calm and doesn’t make a fuss.

Walking Manners:
He’s very excited to meet other dogs while out walking and will need a bit more training to keep his enthusiasm in check.

Appetite:
He’s always hungry and loves his food! He’s the kind of pup who will happily eat all his meals.

Does the following:
He’s still learning to love (or at least not hate) baths — they’re not his favorite at the moment.

Favorite Things:
His favorite things include eating (of course!), cuddling with his humans, playing fetch, and heading to the park for some fun. He’s always happiest when he’s active and surrounded by love.

Commands/Tricks:
He’s still working on his commands and learning his name but he's a quick learner. He is a pro at sitting and waiting.

ALL adoptions require a completed application and final contract. The application can be found at  WaldosRescue.org  and once you are approved to adopt you will be put in touch with the foster to see if it’s a good match. We are a RESCUE not a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks during the application approval process. We are unable to contact every applicant for every dog.  We will select the best applicant for each dog, based on the dogs needs.

Waldos Rescue Pen is a 501c3 whose primary focus is rescuing dogs from the euthanasia list from high kill shelters throughout the United States
