My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Put Short Bio here:
Fill out all below:

Personality & Characteristics: BB is far smarter than I thought she would be, and she is doing well with socialization. She learned to sit down within the first hour of coming home, and currently she's taking it upon herself to sit nicely and wait during dinner and snack time. She loves to go out and play, but once she got used to a routine she was able to stay alone without barking. She peed in the elevator once, but with education and guidance she peed outside and never peed in the house or elevator again. So she is a very good learner and adaptable.

My foster dog is good with: Human, Dogs, Kids, Cats

My foster dog is: Crate trained, House trained, Low shed

3 Keywords for your pup: smart, passinate, easily understood

Energy Level (1= calm, 10= high energy): 5

Barker? Or Quiet Pup?: She barked when she first arrived home but with the right education and guidance she stopped barking. The first day she screamed she was just expressing that she was hungry, wanted to pee, and was a little scared . Understand her and give her what she needs (very simple things) and she never screamed again.

Walking Manners: She is slowly learning to wait for stoplights. She acts excited and enthusiastic when she goes out to play, but doesn't push herself forward.

Appetite: She has a very good appetite and has not been found to be a picky eater at this time. She should be getting a little more than the standard amount of meals as she is a little thin.

Does the following: None (Gets car sick, nervous outside, has separation anxiety, hates the bath, none of the above)

Favorite Things: Eat, go outside, you being with her and touch her.

Commands/Tricks: She has the same behaviors and needs as most puppies. When you crouch she understands that you want to play with her, so she jumps up and licks you. When you get angry she will immediately sit back and lower her head. When you reward her she will learn just as fast that this is what you want her to do.

ALL adoptions require a completed application and final contract. The application can be found at  WaldosRescue.org  and once you are approved to adopt you will be put in touch with the foster to see if it’s a good match. We are a RESCUE not a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks during the application approval process. We are unable to contact every applicant for every dog.  We will select the best applicant for each dog, based on the dogs needs.

Waldos Rescue Pen is a 501c3 whose primary focus is rescuing dogs from the euthanasia list from high kill shelters throughout the United States
