My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello! My name is Annalee, and I'm a lovely 1.5-year-old female Beagle with a beautiful white and apricot coat. I weigh around 50 pounds and have been spayed. I'm up to date on all my shots and heartworm negative, so I'm in great health.

I'm a very sweet and stoic baby girl, pretty laid back and not much of a player. I do love to go for walks and cuddle, though! I'm good with children and other dogs, and I don't bother with birds. However, I don't like pigs, and I'm not sure about cats, but I might have a bit of a prey drive. I will chase a ball, but that's about it—I'm a bit on the lazy side.

Currently, I'm being fostered in Hampton, VA, but I can be transported out of state for the right home. If you're looking for a sweet and cuddly companion who enjoys walks and quiet time, I'm your girl! Fill out an application and let's make some wonderful memories together.

Go meet their pets

Our adoptable dogs are all in various foster homes and can be met by contacting rescue. Rescue will then provide foster home's contact information. Meet and greets will be arranged between foster and potential adopters. We also have adoption events at Petsmart on various dates which can be checked on our Facebook page, Operation Save a Shelter Dog.

More about this rescue

Our Mission

Operation Save A Shelter Dog is a foster based, IRS-recognized 501c(3) rescue whose mission is to work with shelters on the East Coast by saving dogs at high risk of euthanasia or that have little hope of adoption in their current condition. Not only is it our goal to find furever homes for our dogs, but also to educate the public on the importance of spaying, neutering, vaccinating and providing preventative care for their pets.
