Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Acini entered Orange County Animal Care as a stray with a matted, dirty coat. When she wasn't claimed, the shelter reached out with a rescue request, and we scooped her up on November 12th to become a Frosted Face. Acini is about 10 years old and weighs 8 lbs.
Just a day after she arrived at FFF, Acini was chosen for a two-week Frosted Fling! We are so glad this little sweetie is receiving extra love and care in the comforts of a home.
Her Fling Mom shared this positive first update:
"Acini is a tiny wonder girl who deserves the world. Despite her small size, she has boundless energy, and people often mistake her for a puppy. She goes to the bathroom outside fine and on pads indoors.
I suspect she might be farsighted because she can see me, but when she's walking around the house, she occasionally bumps into things close to her. To ensure her safety and keep an eye on her, I put a gate around her when I have to cook, clean, or it's their bedtime.
Acini doesn't mind the gate; she has toys, but her favorite pastime is dragging the blanket around. She also gets the zoomies, unlike other dogs who run, she goes on any doggy bed, lays on her back, kicks up in the air, and wiggles from side to side. She usually does this after she eats and when she's excited.
Although she's only been with us for a few days, Acini is still a bit shy and from time to time can get startled while being petted, but she's slowly opening up. She loves pets and she nudges my hand when I stop."
