Ever wondered if it's possible to be mad at a kitten named Miss Pickles? It's not! We tried!

This cute little kitten is looking for her forever home. She is every bit a kitten with all the wonderful kitten energy. She is currently in foster care with a family of 4, plus 2 adult cats and a senior pup. She has had no problem sleeping next to the family (cat friendly) pup. She also loves chasing the adult cats, and they will play, or sometimes give her side eye, but she is definitely learning how to be a great family cat.

She's not the most cuddly, but she's learning how to be held. She's mastered the art of sleeping on couches (and stealing your seat when you get up), sleeping on whatever bed is available, and sleeping on a comfy blanket on a rocking chair. She is scheduled for Spay surgery on Nov 23rd, so pre-adopt her now and she'll be all yours just in time for Thanksgiving! Best when adopted with a friend

Submit Application

If you see an animal you would like to meet, complete our online application. You will receive an email with the next steps.

2.
Meet the Pet

Visit the facility where the animal is located. If in foster care, the foster will set up a time to meet with you.

3.
Sign Adoption Contract

One of our adoption counselors will review the animal's medical history and walk you through the paperwork.

4.
Pay Fee

Our adoption fees include spay/neuter, vaccinations and microchip.

5.
Take the Pet Home

Once the adoption process is complete, you can bring your furry friend home!

Our mission is to provide the programs and services needed to eliminate the killing of at-risk animals due to lack of space, adopter or foster.

San Antonio Pets Alive! is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Due to alarming euthanasia rates, San Antonio Pets Alive! (SAPA!) was founded in 2012. SAPA! is unique—it is the only high paced, high-volume rescue in San Antonio, saving 6,000 at-risk cats and dogs annually.

Since its inception, SAPA! has saved more than 47,000 dogs and cats. SAPA! provides safety nets for the dogs and cats that fall through the cracks of all other lifesaving options and end up on the euthanasia lists, often with just hours to be saved. SAPA! promotes the availability of these dogs and cats to other rescues, adopters and fosters.
