My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Email for details:
Cookie is available for adoption in a foster home. If you're interested
in meeting Cookie, please email us at sdcadoptions@sdhumane.org or call us at 619 299 7012 and leave a good call back number.

How Cookie arrived:
Cookie was brought in by a community member. .

At SDHS:
Cookie is vaccinated, microchipped and spayed. She is now ready for her new home!

Why this girl is the one for you:
Cookie is as sweet as the confection she is named after! Always up to make new friends, Cookie loves greeting humans with a wiggly body and a wagging tail. She is quite energetic, so she's searching for a family who will enjoy going on walks, playing fetch and taking her along on outdoor adventures. She needs a couple scheduled walks or good outdoor time every day. Cookie's preference would be a home without other dogs or animals but respectful kids are more than fine. She loves the attention kids give her and she loves to play with them. She is a terrific soccer trainer, never tires of pushing the ball to the kids. She would love to find a family who will cherish her as their solo pet and if there are kids involved all the better. Can you give Cookie the peaceful home and loving attention she deserves? Do you want to practice your soccer skills? if so, come and meet sweet Cookie today!

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
