My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

**Meet Winnie the Pooch!**

Age: 1.5 years
Breed: Beagle/Hound Mix
Weight: 32 lbs

Winnie is a lovable, affectionate cuddle bug who starts off a bit shy with new people but warms up quickly, especially if there’s a toy involved.

She adores her playthings (and would rather keep them to herself!) and has the cutest "butt wiggle" dance when she sees her favorite people. Picture her in a little belly dancer skirt—she’d rock it!

Winnie’s a pro at snuggles, giving gentle “hugs,” and making people smile with her happy, friendly demeanor. She’s house-trained and crate-trained, with an adorable routine of “outside time” she just can’t get enough of! While she’s got no leash-pulling, she’s got a zigzag style that adds to her charm.

**Quirks:**

GREAT with dogs, cats, and kids
Enjoys her meals solo – mealtime privacy, please!
Not a fan of car rides (motion sickness alert!), but give her a leash, and she’s ready for an adventure, even if it’s a bit of a zigzag!

Winnie would love a cozy home to call her own.

Adoption fee: $250

More about this rescue

The London Sanctuary (TLS) focuses on providing a safe haven for elderly and unwanted Beagles and Hound Dogs, as well as other at-risk, large to medium-sized breeds, as space and funds permit. Special consideration is given to hounds of all types, which are also greatly at risk in northeast Florida.

• TLS rescues, rehabilitates, and re-homes as many dogs from area shelters as possible. Our priority is to save dogs most at-risk of euthanasia in shelter facilities.
• TLS attempts to place dogs through online pet-listing services and forums, and social media.
• TLS thoroughly screens prospective owners with home and veterinary reference checks.
• TLS houses a limited number of dogs as care-for-life dogs that cannot be placed either due to age and/or medical conditions.
• TLS provides ongoing support and education to all adopters.
• TLS spays/neuters and gives required immunizations and necessary medical treatment to all dogs prior to placement.
