My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Age: 12 years
Weight: 4.1 kg

Being a senior in a stressful shelter environment is hard, but Molly is being as brave as she can until she finds her forever! Molly is a very shy girl when she`s faced with new people and places, but has slowly warmed up to us with time. We`ve discovered that she is a happy drooler and will gladly accept pets and scritches as long as she can stay in her hiding spot. Once she`s super comfortable with her new family and home, it`s likely that she will curl up on your lap to watch TV, just like she did in her previous home! Molly would also enjoy snoozing in bed with you, so you know you`ve won her over when she`s ready to make that leap! A shelter is no place for a sweet senior girl like Molly. What she`s really looking for is a warm, loving home to live out her golden years in, and we`re thinking that could be yours?

More about this shelter

CONNECTING LIVES SINCE 1922

From our earliest beginning, Calgary Humane Society was more than a shelter. As Calgary’s first-established animal welfare organization, connecting the lives of animals and people while providing essential animal services to the community remains our central priority.

Today, Calgary Humane Society (CHS) shelters almost 5,000 homeless animals each year. In 1922 we set out to help as many animals as we can and we will continue to do so by fostering the values of respect, compassion, commitment, teamwork, integrity and innovation.

Our mission is to help as many animals as we can.

Our vision is using innovative strategies to lead, inspire, and educate in the humane treatment of companion animals, fostering an enlightened community that consistently demonstrates respect and compassion for all animals.

Our dream is a community where animals are valued, humanely treated, and live enriched lives.

Calgary Humane Society is committed to creating a better tomorrow through education and collaboration.
