My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Toby, a lovable 2-year-old beagle weighing in at a perfect 35 pounds. This sweet boy is embarking on a new chapter in his life, making the journey from Kentucky to New Jersey in search of a forever home. Toby is a heartwarming companion with a gentle spirit and an infectious enthusiasm for life. He’s a true family dog, great with both kids and other dogs, and always ready to share his love and energy with those around him.

Toby’s warm, friendly nature makes him the perfect addition to any home looking for a loyal and affectionate friend. He’s got a curious mind and a nose for adventure, but don’t let that fool you – after a day of fun, he’s more than happy to snuggle up and relax with you. While we don't know how he feels about cats just yet, his easygoing personality with dogs and kids suggests he’ll adapt well to new environments.

If you're ready to open your heart and home to a dog who’s ready to give all his love, Toby could be the perfect match. Apply for adoption at https://peace4paws.org/adoption-application and start the journey with Toby today – he’s waiting to make every day brighter with his joyful presence.

More about this rescue

Peace4paws is a 501 (c) 3 non profit public charity centered in Northern New Jersey. Through our foster home system, we are able to support the rehoming and adoption of dogs from kill shelters as well as facilities of research and related fields. Founded in 2007, our initial mission focused on supporting sanctuary and forever homes for animals retired from use in research and related fields. In the past few years we have broadened our scope of rescue. We continue to help our own retired research animals and independent sanctuaries but also save shelter dogs. We are able to do this work through the efforts of our volunteer network and generous donors. Please see our website or facebook page "Peace4Paws" to meet our adoptable dogs, success stories or volunteer opportunities. We organize fundraising events centered around yoga, music, health, or animal friendly activities. We are also involved with student outreach and education. We would love to work with you.
