My name is Darla!

Please meet our darling Darla. Her previous owner was dragging her down the sidewalk when I pulled down my road and stopped to observe. She was shaking and crouched down so low to the ground that I thought she was a younger puppy than what she actually is. He ended up surrendering her to me and seemed to be a backyard breeder that was abusing her. She was skinny and had a bad rash all over her stomach. We have since nursed her back to health. She’s been to the vet and was dewormed and given antibiotics. Last week she went to Lifeline for shots/spay/microchip. She’s been enjoying learning how to just be a dog with us and we love her, but as a single mom I can only offer foster at the moment. She has shown zero aggression and no pray drive as of now. She plays gentle with my other dog and 12 year old daughter. She’s made huge improvements on the leash but still needs more training to get used to it. She sleeps in her crate at night and is almost completely potty trained.
