Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
ATTENTIVE AND AFFECTIONATE YOUNG LADY WOULD LIKE A HOME THAT`S NOT TOO BUSY OR LOUD, BUT SHE IS FAIRLY TOLERANT. BE GENTLE AND ANY AGE IS OKAY BECAUSE SHE ADORES BEING AROUND PEOPLE. OWNER SAYS SHE`S MELLOW DOG FRIENDLY. SHOULD BE OKAY WITH OTHER GENTLE CATS, NO MEANIES! You won`t be lonely with me around! I want to be around people all the time and will find a way to make that happen without getting too much in your way. I`m sometimes pleasantly chatty and love to be in brief conversations with you. Although I`m incredibly affectionate, I`m a little uneasy about being held until I`m comfortable with you. I`m fine about being thoughtfully picked up to move though. I effortlessly almost float up to a counter to sit and watch you do things, always hoping to be pet. Be sure to have soft blankets on the furniture for me. I enjoy a mat on the floor and a cozy bed somewhere quiet, but nearby! A cat tree would probably be an awesome thing to have! You`ll see a little bit of silly coming out in me all the time, but I am also a little playful! I`m gentle with my toys too. I have been introduced to wand toys by my new friends and I`m starting to really have fun playing with them! As I get comfortable you`ll probably find other toys I like, maybe motion activated electronic toys like they have here! I`m getting to that as I try something new everyday here! There have been other cats around, but I haven`t been out with them. I`ve been fine about all the nice cats, but there`s a couple who hiss at me. I don`t understand that and it hurts my feelings. They THINK I should be okay with other nice cats, but It`s okay if I`m the only cat at home. They say I`m adorable company here and love to hang out with me. You will too!

More about this shelter
The Colony Animal Services strives to protect andTCAS LOGO-UPDATED nurture The City of The Colony’s lost, homeless, abused, injured, and sick pets. We seek to provide animals the opportunity to be reclaimed, adopted, rehabilitated, or rescued. It is the mission for the Animal Service Officers and volunteers to pursue a positive synergy and to serve the citizens and pets of The Colony.
Animal Services is committed to saving each and every animal that comes into our care. Over the last few years, we have improved our live release rate to 97%. We hold our standards high at keeping this percentage, and in doing so, we ask our rescue partners and citizens to help us pursue finding our animals forever homes.
Every year, we get over a hundred injured and sick animals that need our help. In order for us to help them, we use our donated medical fund to give them the proper care and treatment they need. The only way for us to provide this needed medical care is through our generous financial donors. Every penny donated is sent to our medical fund. Please help us continue this much needed medical care for our animals by donating. Even if you cannot donate, it is a huge help to share posts on social media.
