My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Harley, a senior dog with a heart of gold. His sweet nature is as irresistible as his playful antics. Don`t let his age fool you, Harley is as spry as they come. He`s brave, facing each day with a wagging tail and an eager spirit. Harley is gentle and mellow, making him the perfect companion for quiet evenings at home. He`s also house trained, a bonus for those seeking a low-maintenance pet. But what makes Harley truly special is his friendly demeanor. He`s a cuddly chap who loves nothing more than to snuggle up close. He`s been known to win over even the most hesitant of hearts with his charming ways. Harley knows how to sit, shake and high 5. He knows kennel, go lay down, no beg. He will go by the door/ slider and look at you to go outside. If you have a dog door he will go in and out by himself. In the summer he loves to be outside running up and down the fence line, sit on his perch watching for squirrels or neighbor dogs. He can run very fast, but not for long. He like when you say `I`m gonna get you`. In the winter or any time, he and Zoe love to lay in front of the fireplace.
Zoe and Harley are bonded and need to stay together. Where he goes she goes. They share a bed and kennel. Harley looks out for her. He will sit outside waiting for her or watch for her until she comes in. He grooms her all the time. Zoe is a very sweet happy little girl who just wants to be loved. She loves to be in your lap or arms whenever possible. She loves to sun bathe or be in front of the fireplace. Zoe will do a pretty dance, walk or hop for a treat (it helps keep her back legs strong since she is missing a front leg.). If you`re looking for some loyal friends who will bring joy, laughter, and companionship into your life, Harley and Zoe are the pair for you.
To meet these 2 amazing pups please go to our website - OFOSA.ORG and fill out the application. For a bonded pair of senior dogs it is $400 total for 2 fully vetted dogs.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

View available pets on our website. Adopt-a-pet is not always accurate. Our website is accurate up to the minute.
Browse our website. www.ofosa.org

Website notes: Updated animal data is sent to the website as frequently as possible. Be sure to refresh the adoption pages in your browser for the latest information. Profiles of available pets are displayed on the available for adoption pages (Dogs and Cats). All information we have concerning an animal’s temperament and health is included on their profile.

Meet the animals and an Adoption Counselor
Once you’ve found an animal (or two!) that you’re interested in adopting, please email us at info@ofosa.org to set up a meet and greet with the foster family who is taking care of that pet. All pets have received an examination and assessed for any health or possible behavioral concerns to the extent possible while in our care.

REQUIREMENTS: All members of the family along with any other dogs must be present to meet the new animal to make sure that everyone is compatible! Dogs must not live as outdoor pets and all animals are REQUIRED to be spayed or neutered. Certain breeds will not be adopted to apartment dwellers. We also reserve the right to refuse to place an animal in a home without a fenced in back yard. We adopt our animals based on a first come, first qualified basis. Our main concern is to match our animals with the most ideal home, the decision is based on many different factors.

Complete the adoption
If you so choose, you are able to take the pet home on the same day that you first meet them. When you’ve found a great match, it’s time to complete the adoption process! You’re welcome to ask our volunteers or fosters questions about training and for tips on helping your new pet adjust to your home.

Placing Pets on Hold: We do not place animals on hold. We adopt out on a First Come, First Qualified basis.

Medical or Behavior Consults: If the pet you’re interested in has any medical conditions, we will arrange pre-adoption consultations with our medical / clinic staff so you know what to expect.
