My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

How this pet arrived:
This pet was brought in by a community member.

Why Neptune is the one for you:
Meet Neptune, a charming and resilient male kitten ready to find his home! Though he started out as a stray and faced some challenges, Neptune has blossomed in his foster home, where he's learned to enjoy playtime, petting, and cozying up on the couch. He's a little shy at first but warms up with patience and treats. Neptune would thrive best in a calm, cat-savvy home and might enjoy the company of a another friendly feline buddy. If you're looking for a sweet and gentle kitten who's come a long way, Neptune is the one for you! To learn more about adding Neptune to your family, please email sdcadoptions@sdhumane.org.

At SDHS:
This pet has been vaccinated, microchipped and spayed/neutered. This pet is now ready for their new home!

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
