My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

How this pet arrived:
Gibby was brought in by his previous owner on November 12, 2024

Why Gibby is the one for you:
Meet Gibby, a lovable boy with a personality as cute as his soft, floppy ears! Gibby is absolutely adorable! He loves to play with his favorite humans and run around with them. He will also take a nice snooze on your lap if you let him! We think Gibby may be potty trained already. He also does well on leash, although I'm sure he'd prefer being carried instead! This little guy is the definition of man's best friend. He wants to be with you all of the time! He may even let out a high pitched squeal when you're apart. Just ignore this behavior and you'll be good to go! Gibby's ideal home will be filled with kindness, consistency, and lots of cozy spots for him to snuggle up and feel safe. Bring a leash and collar when you come adopt Gibby!

At SDHS:
Gibby has been vaccinated, microchipped and spayed/neutered. Gibby is now ready for his new home!

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
