There’s a property in Mesick where people seem to drop off unwanted animals. The woman who lives there tries her best to care for them, and when she asked us for help, we rescued Yates, his littermates, and several other cats and kittens. Yates and his siblings, all light gray tabbies like him, are the Cider Mill Kittens, named after cider mills and apples. They’re similar in temperament too. Jacob is a calm, cuddly little fellow. He’ll stand at your feet and ask to be picked up and held. You can hold him like a baby, and he’ll look in your eyes, and you will lose your heart. He likes people and other cats and would probably be fine with a friendly dog after a gradual introduction. Jacob is a good eater and litter box user. We advise feeding him only dry kitten food. Wet food seems to loosen his insides a bit. Jacob sometimes bites softly, like a love bite. One way to discourage this is disengagement. You can find other suggestions by googling kitten biting. He’s a playful kitten who’ll be happy to have a kitten pal, maybe one of his litter mates Dexter, King, Bayne, Jennie, and Yates. He and Yates are especially close. Check their pages too.
