My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Little Guy ACCT-A-179857 is a 4-year-old neutered male who came in as a stray on 11/3/24. Little Guy is extremely friendly and loves pets! He has been stabled in our care but would definitely benefit from a "Little more help if you able to offer it to him!

On 11/6 During Exam Staff noted: "Edema on hind legs, not completely weight bearing. Little Guy is quiet, alert, responsive to bright, alert, responsive. His left hindlimb still has marked edema and cellulitis. He has an abscess that recently burst over left hip region and significant purulent discharge drained. Prefers to lay in lateral recumbency, weak and unsteady when up and moving but is able to stand and bear weight on both hindlimbs. He is very skinny with muscle wasting, skin and gums are very pale. Overall assessment abscess with cellulitis and tissue edema of left hindleg.
Severe but regenerative anemia, possibly bordering on sepsis based on lab work. Little Guy is very high risk of decline but has been stable while in care so far.

On 11/3 During Exam Staff noted: "Little guys eyes were clear, but his ears were waxy. His gums were slightly pale, and his teeth were yellow with tartar. Edema was present on hind legs (he can bear some weight but not entirely), his fur was dirty, and he was clinically dehydrated. He was bright, alert, responsive and extremely friendly. Overall, Little Guy presented with edema on his hind legs. Little Guy is FELV/FIV Negative.

On 11/3 Good Samaritan noted": "Little Guy was found in a neighborhood and appeared sick. He had wobbly rear legs, and his paws appeared swollen. Finder noted that Little Guy was friendly.
