My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Peppermint Patty!!!!

This sweet girl was bought out of the Walmart parking lot with her brother Charlie Brown. A volunteer saw this person trying to sell them. The volunteer game the money and took both of them. We got contacted right away. We took them into Fetching Hearts Rescue to now find them their forever homes.

Peppermint Patty is a typical pup who loves pouncing around and playing. She enjoys playing with the big dogs, even though she is so tiny. Peppermint loves playing with toys, and chewing on bones. Her and her brother Charlie Brown love to get into puppy mischief. They wrestle and pounce on each other like royal rumble. It's so much fun to watch. Once they are done, they will take a nap, get up and repeat. They are currently eating three times a day. They are like little babies who need attention all the time. They need lots of socializing, love, attention and training. Both Peppermint and Charlie Brown will need a family who can give them lots of time and dedication.

If you want a sweet loving little girl, Peppermint is the girl for you!! Apply for her today and make her part of your family forever!!!

If interested in Peppermint Patty, please apply online: ADOPTION APPLICATION or email us at Info.FetchingHeartsRescue@gmail.com.

More about this rescue

Fetching Hearts Rescue is a non-profit 501(c)(3), volunteer run rescue that is dedicated to saving dogs who have been abused, neglected or abandoned and finding loving, caring homes for them.

We rely on a network of foster families so that each dog that we pull into the safety of our rescue is placed in a foster home and is no longer confined to a life in a kennel.

We are committed to helping dogs of all ages, breeds and sizes by partnering with shelters and animal control services right here in Connecticut as well as with several high kill shelters in the South.

We do a full assessment of each dog's temperament and health to ensure that we are able to find the most suitable home for them. Every dog is fully vetted - meaning they are up to date on vaccinations, spayed/neutered, heartworm negative and micro chipped - before being adopted.

The ASPCA estimates that approximately 3.3 million dogs in the United States enter shelters each year, of which approximately 670,000 are euthanized*. Our goal is to advocate for and provide education about the need for spaying and neutering to eliminate what has become an epidemic of unwanted dogs.*
