My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

A volunteer writes:
Maia is an awesomely beautiful tiger. Her coat is soo vibrant, her markings soo striking and her eyes are always on her visitor's. I fell in love with her. Maia and handsome friend Sofu were  brought to us by the police. No clue what their history is except that lovely Maia was adopted as a kitten some five years ago from the Manhattan Care Center. Maia is one friendly feline who head bunts, purrs and rolls on her side, knitting with her legs, making biscuits and accepting petting, lots of petting. She is well mannered, gentle and aced her behavior evaluation. Maia had a heart murmur as a kitten and it is still present. It does not seem that it prevented her to thrive wonderfully well. Still, her adopter will be advised to consult with their veterinarian to see if Maia needs some kind of treatment. Believe me, Maia is so worth the care and attention. She is such a great cat! Maia is waiting for you on E 110th street!

My history is a mystery and my friends here do not know much about me yet!

I have medical needs that staff will address with you when you meet me.

I would appreciate slow introductions to new people and places to help me feel safe.

Cheek and chin scratches make me so happy!
